Why did 60,000 migrants suddenly breach the Spanish border at the Spanish exclave of Ceuta? Here is an interesting clue: — On July 15, the US House Republicans passed a national security bill (1). — This bill was based on a report from the Committee of Appropriations, which stated that the US is now working to help Marocco take over two Spanish territories in North Africa: Ceuta, Spanish since 1580, and Melilla, Spanish since 1497 (2). … the Trump administration wants Spain to give up Ceuta, and two weeks after Congress formally agrees, Ceuta is suddenly stormed by migrants who tell the press, that rumors spread through social media that they could get to the EU this way, because the border had been breached. Of course, this is not proof that the US caused this. But it certainly is a suspicious sequence of events which I intend to keep an eye on. 2/2
