@sturmsucht@mastodon.social This explains why I often feel like the only one on Earth who *doesn't* think social media is evil. The #Fediverse *is* what “social media” means to me. I've heard of Instagram and the rest, but I've never actually used them. I've never struggled with their algorithms. I don't even know what that's like. So when politicians talk about banning social media, I'm horrified. Why would anyone want to ban this place? This place isn't hurting anybody. And where else would I socialize?
