Your sources take into account that the socialist country is subsidizing it. So, 'somebody' is paying, just not the guy getting the work done.
This is first order thinking. It's why most people shouldn't vote. They cannot abstract and project their mind beyond the immediate thing right in front of them.

Yes, tax payers pay for it, in fact 19-20% of taxes go to pay healthcare Contrast that with the US, tax payers fund Medicare and Medicaid, 24% of their taxes go to fund these programs i.e. the US tax payers are paying MORE than Canadians. These programs cover only 35% of US population The irony, Americans pay more in taxes on programs that don't cover most of them
