Specifically - the usual domain is https://mawkingbird.com which is a new domain and block on some network for being new. - API calls to mastodon.social are blocked, but there are many mastodon servers and in "anonymous" mode, you can do everything but post. - Or you sign up to for an alt, once the app figures out which ones aren't blocked.

@mistersql@mastodon.social I don't see any description of what this is or what it brings to the table that is different. Is this a proxy? Does it just work because the domain might not be blocked? Is there documentation somewhere?
