I am so sick of tying in six digit SMS codes to access corp tools. My IP address has not changed in several years. It's me! Hello! It's still me! How many times do I have to click the "don't show this again" checkbox? At what point will I get fully fed up and just automate the process.

Maybe I've been watching too much world-cup soccer... Or played too much as a kid. But tonight, when I got beat in my beer-league ice-hockey game, I decided to go with the soccer rules: you can take out the player on a slide tackle so long as you contact the puck first, right? My goalie seemed to agree I did the right thing. Fist bumps on the way to the penalty box. If not for these glorious 30 second clips, what's the paint of hockey? :-) #icehockey #soccer #worldcup #futbol #liveb...

https://copy.fail 2026 would be a good year to make sure your backups are offline and your restore process is minimally painful! #linux #backup

Working on a mechanical enclosure. Using my #3dconnexion mouse again for the first time in a long time. #freecad feels like it always has... a bit too many error messages flying by on the screen. But I'm so happy to be doing this! #foss for the win!

@sophieschmieg@infosec.exchange A physicist I used to work for said quantum computing is very good right now for getting grant money to develop very nice ADC's and detector circuitry, which is useful for astronomy and particle physics. He admitted when I pressed him that he agrees that the actual computing part is complete bunk and going nowhere.

@aleksorsist Does tge ThunderScope have an FTDI ft600 on it? Did you have any trouble with dropped words? Is the RTL open source? I've been having a heck of a time, to the point where I'm about to add parity codes to just correct the lossy words. I see nothing wrong in simulation or on the scope. Hopefully I'll get my order in soon. Ironically the ThunderScope would likely make finding my own problem way easier.

I just read this article about chess-like vs poker-like problems, and how poker-like problems are bad candidates for solution with LLM type models. I'm looking for more reading like this about the underlying architecture, behavior, and future directions of the models and the cutting edge research around them. Does anyone have links they found valuable? https://www.latent.space/p/adversarial-reasoning #noai #aicritic #ai #llm
