Reducing environmental concern to a left/right caricature is a cheap way to avoid engaging with the actual argument. The ecological cost of AI (among a ton of other big problems it introduces) is real and documented, whether some people find that inconvenient or not. Attacking others personally for pointing it out isn't clever โ it's just sad ๐

The people on the right side of the room wanted to keep the monarchy-- authoritarians who think it's cool to be ruled by domineering jerks on a superiority kick. The left side of the room wanted democracy. Either we let a few wannabe god-kings burn the planet, or the people take our power back and figure out how to take care of each other properly. That's what it all comes down to.
