The main reason we will never start to address inequality in the uk is that too many low earners can't tell the difference between someone who earns £100k p/a and someone who has inherited £100m. Both are referred to dismissively as "the rich"

@anon_opin@mastodon.social Whilst a wealth tax should be targeted at the super rich (who aren’t on PAYE like salaried people) you must realise that to someone on minimum wage struggling with even the basics they will see someone on 100K/pa as rich because they are. Understanding is a three edged sword. Your side, their side, and the truth.
