They would rob me of my lifelong pride and joy, my career, my privacy, and my contact with good people like you. I have had a spider phobia for 30 years. That's gone now, has been for 7-8 months. Today, I realized that I have a spider living in my front door window. A cute little fuzzy thing that first appeared a few days ago, and today greeted me many times as I came and went. I have let myself feel trapped by spiders for decades. I fought the fear, it didn't help. I got to discover that I could just let go of it. Fear traps me for as long as i struggle against it. But I can focus my gaze in the opposite direction to loosen the tension, and allow the feeling to fall away. And then I get wonderful gifts, such as the blessing of a spider in my doorway to remind my that I live in harmony with nature, not at war with it.
