@Unicorn@pagan.plus My great fear is politicians banning computers and the Internet with their misguided laws. They would rob me of my lifelong pride and joy, my career, my privacy, and my contact with good people like you. Such is my dread and despair. I don't know what power you wield, but if you offer me your blessing then I accept it with gratitude. 🙏❤️🫂

@argv_minus_one@mastodon.sdf.org that's a big one, that I've held fear of myself. When it feels this big, I remember that all of these systems are broken in one way, or another. And if it isn't an organization like the EFF or ACLU that fights the battle, another will. I know with all my heart that we will prevail in this. May powerful, godlike ethos of FOSS be a guiding beacon that unites all free beings in resisting oppression in all forms, including the lie that there is safety in the destruction of privacy. May their deceit be lit brightly across the screens they seek to control. May we always find collective willpower to counter anyone or anything who seeks control our thoughts, minds, or speech. And may your call for attention to this issue reach far and wide, to all of the ears who need to hear it. ✌️🦄🪄
