Hearing aid hacker needed! My father‘s hearing aids are being repaired, so the shop gave him a pair of Signia Motion C&G SP 1IX as temporary replacement. Nice. BUT. It seems they were configured as trial devices, this wasn’t mentioned to my father. The trial period has ended a few hours ago, so now they play an annoying melody every 2 minutes and we cannot stop this. The hearing aid specialist is on vacation until end next week. So. Anyone knows how to fix this?

The funny little coincidence was that this end of trial happened at the exact time that I installed a new DECT phone at my parents, which led us to the suspicion it might be some weird interference/bug. It took us quite a few hours to deduct it must be something else and finally find out about this 4 week trial thing. Le sigh.

@jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net I would go to nearest technician and ask them tomorrow, they might have spares or be able to renew the trial period. Sadly this seems to be the new norm, hearing aid shops in Germany already got the devices loaned by the manufacturers years ago, that's why so many give free trial runs...
