Finding of the day: a skirt (or at least the circle skirt I have) can easily fold into motorcycle pants. That way you can transition from protected biker to cute femme while keeping your dignity intact! (yes, this is a reference to Aisling Bea in Taskmaster series 5, episode 1—despite me not showing undies (I hope))

So, regarding the trans girl stereotypes, I seem to fit quite a few: ✅ Programmer ✅ Loves blåhaj ✅ Knee high socks ("programmer socks") ✅ Skirt go spinny ✅ Drinks Monster energy (strawberry dreams, haven't tried original but didn't hear great reviews) Any other stereotypes I should try out to see how they fit?

@smveerman@zug.network It's honestly not the worst football song I've heard, but I get that it easily gets overplayed.

@faithisleaping@anarres.family That sounds… intriguing. I might have just ordered a copy to check it out (and yes, I do still have my GBC)

@iamada@tech.lgbt I was going to argue about the mountains, as the south of Limburg has some quite tiring elevation, but then I remembered you're from a country whose second-largest city is literally named "Bergen". I will concede here (despite of how proud I am of the climbs I did with only minor swearing).

I think it might be fun to talk about my home infra set-up, since I took some time over the weekend setting it up. For sharing large amounts of data, I turned one old PC into a NAS. It's not ideal, as it's quite small and the motherboard only has 4 SATA connectors (and it was from before NVME was really a thing so the SSD takes up one of them), but it's quiet and small enough to have running in the living room (next to my router). But for now I'm figuring that 2TB of storage (mir...

Fun random fact of the day: Spar (the supermarket chain) is Dutch. Its name means "spruce", a coniferous tree. This also i spired the logo. However, its name comes from much earlier, when it was called "de spar" ("de" being Dutch for "the"). Besides meqning "the spruce", it also was an acronym for "Door Eendrachtig Samenwerken Profiteren Allen Regelmatig" : "through united collaboration everybody profits regularly". Yes, it is...

New NS anagram! The puzzle is "Los Pichor Pathir", which is an anagram of an NS railway station. Can you guess which? I got it in a few minutes, and I found this one a bit harder than the previous one ("Nul Te Teer"). Good luck!

@FinalGirl@blackqueer.life Oh no, how could this have happened! We never ignore racial aspects of things in our society, not even when it makes us slightly uncomfortable! I will do the utmost to help this white person in these trying times: sending thoughts and prayers. (I hope it's clear this is satire, though it may have crossed into cynicism a bit)

@katiekat@transfem.social Since my brain sometimes grabs an idea, makes it silly, and runs with it:We're ready for the 200 meters, the runners are set, aaaand we're off! Very strong start for the runner in the seventh lane, catching up with the outer lane next to her even before the end of the turn! But what's that? She seems distracted and, oh no, she takes a tumble! But what is this? The other runners are now running towards her? It seems that, instead of finishing the race, they a...

Someone in an app group made a medical statement (not major, but still), and when asked about a source they mentioned AI. It took all my restraint to explain that AI is not reliable and should be double-checked, instead of just screaming "no!" over and over again. So if you'll excuse me: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :neocat_floof_explode:
