@LunaDragofelis@void.lgbt @joepie91@fedi.slightly.tech they were down for quite a bit yesterday. It bit me as I was trying to push my changes so I could put the latest version of my project on the website. Not a huge deal. I think the discourse now was triggered by a controversial post which explained that they're moving their project to github instead to avoid these issues.

@loke@functional.cafe @LunaDragofelis@void.lgbt My post wasn't inspired by any one post, for what it's worth (and I think I actually didn't encounter the post you're referencing!), but rather by seeing a bunch of "why doesn't it just work" grumbling across multiple creatures' posts. And honestly it's not really about any specific posts for me anyway, big tech has (possibly intentionally) done a number on everyone's expectations for the past decades, and I think it's important that we all recalibrate that as we collectively figure out how to rid ourselves of these companies and rebuild communal infrastructure 🙂 Basically, the world has to relearn how to run things themselves, and what that looks like in practice!
