@GamingWolf@mstdn.games iirc some people that worked on the Dreamcast did join Microsoft's console division to help make the 360, so... it's kind of true. And cursed. Mainly cursed.

The only console that's doing things differently architecturally is the Nintendo Switch family, and that's because those consoles are dockable ARM-based tablets! All the recent Playstations and Xboxen are just glorified x86-64 PCs running custom OSes
