The only console that's doing things differently architecturally is the Nintendo Switch family, and that's because those consoles are dockable ARM-based tablets! All the recent Playstations and Xboxen are just glorified x86-64 PCs running custom OSes

@techokami@woof.tech I remembered from a family member (I am from a long lineage of computer people) that IBM supplied all the PowerPC based architechture for the Wii the Playstation 3 and the XBox 360.
