@Teri_Kanefield@mastodon.social I love how you’re not afraid to question the systems people often accept without thinking. The publishing world has so many layers creativity, business, power, and gatekeeping and it’s interesting to hear from someone who is willing to look deeper and challenge the way things are done. Sometimes the people who ask uncomfortable questions are the ones who help create change.

Do you think the industry can still protect writers’ dreams while becoming more fair and transparent? And after your own publishing experience, what is the one thing you wish every new writer knew before signing a deal?
