We have Old World Swallowtail caterpillars on our fennel again - I’ve been looking for them having seen them for the first time last year. We lost lots to the sparrows last time - and with a very chirpy and active juvenile robin in the garden this year I am now collecting the caterpillars and protecting them from predators. 8 so far and much family excitement. They have been named

Colonial
Colinata and
Colineight
This is going to be fun!

@JimmyB@mas.to I remember them from my childhood but no longer see them in the wild. It is so lovely of you to help these caterpillars/butterflies.
