@jasongorman@mstdn.business I don't think it's counter-intuitive at all. It is very hard to learn a new step when you're dancing as fast as you can.

    @GeePawHill@mastodon.social @jasongorman@mstdn.business Prompts a thought. Dancing wise, I only ever got (barely) competent at Argentine Tango. It’s been a while, but I don’t remember practice being slowed down. It ran at normal speed, but it was *segmented*. You’d practice a new figure in normal conditions, just doing only that, doing it over and over, and getting feedback. FWIW
