Oh wow - I had no idea the Tokyo Skytree elevators were stuck for 5 hours.
As somebody who was once briefly stuck in a tower elevator - the Guishan TV Tower in Wuhan back when it was still relatively new in 1991 - I can commiserate.

@tsturm Yikes, getting stuck in an elevator is not fun. I was once stuck in the one in my building for a less that 5 minutes but it still gives you a big fright. The doors closed and I pressed for my floor and nothing happened. Luckily I knew the caretaker was nearby and rather than press the emergency button I shouted and they heard me. They were able to get the lift restarted within a few minutes.
