SO-125 was also capable of relaying D-Star transmissions. @n6utc@mastodon.radio & I had a D-Star contact on SO-125 last summer, after making a contact in FM on that pass (along with working KH2TJ in northern California only in FM):

SO-125 was the last amateur satellite that supported D-Star communications. We don't know if AO-27, launched back in 1993, will ever be heard from again. I have not heard AO-27 since very early in 2023. Maybe we'll get another FM satellite in the future, that also relays D-Star transmisions like SO-125. Until then, it was fun playing with D-Star via satellite...
