SO-125 was the last amateur satellite that supported D-Star communications. We don't know if AO-27, launched back in 1993, will ever be heard from again. I have not heard AO-27 since very early in 2023.
Maybe we'll get another FM satellite in the future, that also relays D-Star transmisions like SO-125. Until then, it was fun playing with D-Star via satellite...

@wd9ewk@mastodon.radio Actually, we need more satellites with linear transponders. They don't care how the signal is modulated. We see this on QO100: everything from analog FM to rare digital modes can be found there.
