Dear @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu, I am not sure that today, with wildfires everywhere and nuclear reactors having to reduce power generation due to heatwaves, is the right time to announce you will spend €30B of taxpayers money on building „AI“ factories that will steal electricity and water in significant amounts, water and electricity that we, your constituents, should get priority access to.

  • What I would have expected, dear @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu, would be an announcement that your experienced competition experts start an investigation into the skyrocketing prices for RAM, SSD and hard drives that are stifling progress and innovation. Maybe that'll come tomorrow? 2/2

@jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu The thing is, people don't give a shit, if there is no EU solution, they'll use whatever else there is. Who cares about water and energy, right.

@jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net Dear @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu, how about some Gigafactories for clothes, medicine and such? Next supply chain crisis comes and we will only be able to ask some AI what to do.
