What I would have expected, dear @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu, would be an announcement that your experienced competition experts start an investigation into the skyrocketing prices for RAM, SSD and hard drives that are stifling progress and innovation. @jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net We could use all that money to build independent, Eu-controlled manufacturing capabilities for the chips we need so urgently... you know @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu, the chips that run all the AI...?! Costs for compute are insane right now, and for what? So that some rich f*cks can get richer, while pur planet literally burns up...?!
