@Elizafox@social.treehouse.systems I've ran Matrix for 6 years and it's never died on me, the hell are you doing with it that makes it die? and don't give me that 'big room' crap, I joined the notorious MatrixHQ room and it survived that too. I'm using <1gb ram for it while using the old clunky Synapse server with Postgres, and Element Call, despite the user count and large rooms.
Also if Police is a problem for you you should not use ANY public service, that includes things like Signal; Selfhost Matrix maybe?

@anthropy@mastodon.derg.nz What am I doing with it? I just use it. I don't know why each of my home servers have died. Most were not mine. Only one was mine, and it was a failed migration that I gave up on. The other two I think had the same problem.
