I forget that many American hotel rooms simply don’t have.. kettles.
I refuse to microwave water, no matter how long I’ve been here. I will be procuring a travel kettle.

@skinnylatte@hachyderm.io A UK colleague who was on his very first trip to the US once asked me what I did for hot water while in hotels (he knew I drank both tea and coffee). He drooped a bit when I said I packed a travel kettle in my bag at that point along with a travel tea kit I’d put together. I think if he’d been there for more than a few days, he’d have gotten a kettle too.
