Yes, I know about how paper wealth isn't the same as cash wealth, and how money compounds and whatever else. The point still stands, you don't get from million/year to a billion in a human lifetime.

@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange We don't need to do a bunch of math for your point to be valid. Rich people have more money than people who aren't rich. Someone who has 1t or 850b or whatever on paper still has more money than someone who has 1m on paper. It's an absurd amount of money that no individual human is "worth." We've assigned arbitrary value to people and turned life into a game of gambling. And whoever takes the riskiest gambles either gets paid out or thrown in prison. And you cross your fingers for the former. And the rest of us? We minimize the gambles so we don't have to worry about prison.
