Not sure where the 20,000 figure comes from. Wikipedia and its sources express uncertainty and any correlation with low water levels in local rivers would put them at 15,000 to 9,000 years old.

@drewph@ieji.de @didgebaba@c.im Yeah, from what I can see the dating of these is extremely conjectural and based on ideas of historic water levels and what those levels might have been in different epochs.
