Like, okay.
So, as I've stated before I'm not really on either "side" of the #AI debate because it's fucking stupid.
The sides are dominated by wildly ignorant people that throw around studies they don't understand as rhetoric.
I've been working with Neural Networks, Statistical Models, and NLP for over two decades and specifically spent my time in college learning about how technology changes cognition and vice versa.
I'm, absolutely, an applied expert in this technology.

The debate is dominated by two side. On the Pro-AI side you have #techbro culture which is arguing that #AI has magic powers and that any cost should be paid for it. On the Anti-AI side you have people arguing simultaneously that the tech is worthless while also it's going to steal everyone's jobs. (Hint: It can't do both and neither statement is true.) Like gun control. the debate is largely devoid of facts, and generally adding research studies makes the debate more confusing. 3/
