My regular reminder that ThriftBooks(.com) is a thing, and they are still, from what I understand, a really good company. I've been buying from them for years and love their prices and customer service. Shipping speed is good too!
I also love how I can get hardbacks that come from libraries. It reminds me of that freshly discovered joy as a kid, where you realize you can TAKE THE BOOKS HOME. :) It's also nice to feel like you're giving them an extra life after they've retired from their library gig.

@hollie@social.coop They get most of my very limited disposable income. Though I have in the last few months had to get refunded for two different books that they apparently failed to check for condition( one had multiple pages permanently stuck together with who knows what, and another someone had carefully removed an entire chapter with scissors). Still, they did the refund with minimal fuss.
