one thing National Highways still can't do, though, is remember to cancel variable speed limits with a :tsrgd_671: after their smart motorway roadworks end :(

@eta@gotosocial.i.eta.st I find them really confusing. Some gantries on the M25 only have 50% of VMS' working - how should I parse a 50 displayed on only 2 lanes? And recently I was driving back and the limit kept jumping up and down between gantries. I was stationary and watched it flick down from 60 -> 50 -> 40 in 30s at one point, before going back up. Doesn't seem like anyone has considered the human factors element, especially when they do camera enforcement on these.
