This doesn’t have to be about a universal ban; yet the reaction I’m talking about is even to local bans (like Codeberg, or the potential partial ban in Debian, or any time an individual project chooses to reject LLM contributions). That is, the pro-LLM crowd does not seem to respect anybody’s right to refuse LLM-generated code, and react by announcing that they will simply ignore the rules — which basically justifies an even stronger ban, I think (excluding the rulebreakers entirely, instead of simply rejecting certain sorts of contributions from them).
