My parents often told me to “slow down” when I was eating dinner, living with them.
It clearly never worked.
Anyway, here's what I'm dealing with, before tearing it down further. I don't think that connector beside the SAS connection will fit on the LTO 6 drive - they look to have a different pin count and/or connector shape.
I'll see if I can get away with just plugging in the drive with SAS alone.

Holy tool-less drive removal, Batman! The drive was in there nice and solid, so I figured it was fastened in with screws. Nah, just with this metal bracket that’s sitting in the drive’s screw holes.
