I don't understand what it is about Strictly Come Dancing / Dancing with the Stars that appeals to people. Is it like pornography to viewers, turning them on or something? How can be it be so popular? Why don't they watch real porn instead?

@PatrickoftheG@mastodon.social I used to say that about Bay Watch back in the day. "People! The Internet is literally 90% comprised of pornography of all flavours along any given spectrum, free and on demand - what is the appeal of this show?"
