people who pick a political side based on how "nice" the people on each side are to them have no principles. just saying. Nazis can be very "nice" to people they are looking to recruit, it doesn't make them good or their ideology correct. leftists may seem angry or judgmental but they will fight for your human rights whereas the right will always work to strip them from you (unless you are a billionaire, in which case you definitely have no principles and deserve every bit of vitriol you get)

and this has been said many times before, but "nice" and "kind" are not the same thing. it's not kind to oppress people, I don't care how nice and polite and decorous that Nazi is being while he does it. so I guess what we're saying is, you should believe in/stand up for something bigger than your own feelings. oh, and btw people being mean to you because you have bad politics does not equal oppression. so don't even go there "the left was mean to me, I'm being oppressed" no you're not.

@redsad@ohai.social From the accounts I read (NABRE), Jesus was often not very friendly or nice.

@redsad@ohai.social Remember when voters wanted to have a beer with dry-drunk George W. Bush, because they liked him? That was before Donald Trump made him look competent.
