I would support proportional representation if it were to one day lead to a nation without a central government.
One built on citizen assemblies and cosmolocalism. No professional politicians but a well trained fully staffed, accountable civil service. They would have the remit to manage national infrastructure such as utilities and transport.

@Herefordrob@mindly.social Proportional representation is about *how* we choose governments, not *how much* government we have. You can support PR while favouring anything from a highly decentralized federation to a strong central state. Personally, I support PR because it makes legislatures reflect voters more accurately, regardless of the constitutional model that follows. Citizen assemblies can complement representative democracy, but I wouldn’t replace democratic accountability through elected representatives altogether.
