Perpetual material/economic growth is just immature thinking. It is inhumane, unscientific, unjust, unfair, suicidal, the list could be long. Unlike the list that supports it which is short but includes: it makes rich people and 'entities' richer, it could get us to a hostile empty planet. Aaaaaarrrrrrgggghhhh

The word 'prevail' could be a whole conversation. The truth is our elected so called "leaders" are denying the second part of this principle.

In a world that often feels fragmented-across differences of belief, experience, and identity, the question before us is not simply how to communicate, but how to connect in ways that restore relationship and build trust. TLC-Talk, Listen, Connect, emerges as a simple yet profound response to this need. https://charterforcompassion.org

The original phone was an instrument of communication. The new "hand held device" usually called a phone is an instrument of consumerism and ongoing colonisation, in its many forms, as such we were conned by language into thinking it was a service to the majority.

Extinction is not just a scientific concept. It is an emotional reality. Each species lost represents a unique evolutionary history that will never be repeated. It carries intrinsic value, independent of its usefulness to humans. This debate is not merely semantic. Words shape perception, and perception shapes action. Calling the crisis a mass extinction underscores its severity and urgency. At the same time, acknowledging that we are in the midst of the process, rather than at its conclus...

Maybe we have passed this point, so what choices do we have? Where else can so many states in, number, political persuasion, varied size, economic standing be seen talking together, trying to develop a better world? The United Nations for all its shortcomings is the best hope we have as a global governance watchdog (apparently). Needless to say it needs major reforms & restructuring, not least ending the #veto & end present security council failures, they are undemocratic. We...

The Chandogya Upanishad reminds us, “As vast as the infinite world beyond is the world within the lotus of the heart.” There are worlds within us. This is consciousness we can each access it.

Our political system is wholly corrupt and no longer fit for purpose – if it ever was. “I strongly condemn the illegal Israeli and US aggression against Iran, in violation of the most fundamental rule of international law and the United Nations Charter – the ban on the use of force. This is not lawful self-defence against an armed attack by Iran, and the Security Council has not authorized it. Preventive disarmament, counter-terrorism, and regime change on this scale constitute the international crime of aggression. All responsible governments should condemn this lawlessness from...

If you don't fit in, if you feel at odds with the world, if your identity is troubled and frayed, if you feel lost and ashamed- it could be because you have retained the human values you were supposed to have discarded. You are a deviant. Be proud. We need to be radical, diverse and deviate.

Ubuntu is a term that originated in southern Africa to mean the sense of community with others. In the Novasutras movement, we have expanded this definition to include the broader connections between all things, binding together the more-than-human world. It incorporates our duty as conscious humans to participate in this community with reverence, joy, generosity, gratitude, and loving-kindness. #universalJustice #universalequality #UnityInDiversity #univeraleducation #universalequity

What does the UN Secretary-General actually do? 🌍 They are more than a global figure — they are the voice of diplomacy, the bridge between nations, and a key leader in tackling the world’s biggest challenges. From peace and security to climate action and human rights, their role helps shape the direction of our shared future. And yet… since 1945, there has never been a woman in this position. Representation matters. Leadership matters. Change is overdue. #GWLVoices #UN #SecretaryGeneral #Ne...
