Maybe we have passed this point, so what choices do we have? Where else can so many states in, number, political persuasion, varied size, economic standing be seen talking together, trying to develop a better world? The United Nations for all its shortcomings is the best hope we have as a global governance watchdog (apparently). Needless to say it needs major reforms & restructuring, not least ending the #veto & end present security council failures, they are undemocratic. We need to experiment with democracy not put it in a box.
