The other thing besides devastating cuts to weather services right when we need them the most, is that these events are not following the weather behavior rulebook. Storms are behaving in new ways we have rarely seen. A tornado could come at you from any cardinal direction. That tropical storm moved from Louisiana towards Texas. Never seen that before.
