While today's #repair project isn't pinball itself, it sure is related to it in my use. My parents bought this trailer in 1984 when they were building their house. After they finished they changed their car and the new one didn't come with a tow hitch. So the trailer was left at the back of their garden, where it stayed until early 2000s, when I had gotten myself mixed in the pinball hobby. I quickly realized that a trailer without a hard top was not exactly the best option to move pins and all my own cars have been vans. The trailer went back to my parents' garden and sat there for almost 25 years. You'd think this thing would've have long since rotted away and when in 2024 I came to check it out, stuff was growing out of it. I almost gave up on it, but then I looked at the frame and much to my surprise over 40 years since it had left the factory there was barely any rust on it at all. Everything else however had completely rotted away. The tires, cabling and lights and so forth. I took me a week to bring it back from the dead and my parents transferred it under my name.
