I will obstinately keep talking to my computer and search engines using only keywords. I love my puter, and yes I gave it a name, but it's still just a machine. Anthropomorphizing machines and programs was kind of a cute game... until people started to believe it in recent years. Now, it's dangerous. #NoAI

@Em0nM4stodon@infosec.exchange Yeah, I used to do it all the time, it even made explaining stuff easier, but lately, I have given up on it.

@Em0nM4stodon@infosec.exchange do not let them take the fun away from you. Do you not know that it is we who understand the real language of the machine while they burn forests and steal all of our combined output just for an obtuse game of pretend? :menhera_smile_hearts:

@Em0nM4stodon@infosec.exchange I love my 'puter because it's an amazingly versatile tool that reliably does exactly what I tell it to do, and otherwise stays out of my way. It definitely does not have a mind of its own; that's what cats are for, and while I love my cat I don't trust her. If my computer had a mind of its own I would kick it out of my home immediately because I wouldn't trust it either, and it's positioned to do far more harm than my cat.
