@joepie91@fedi.slightly.tech Fair, but it's kind of difficult to be more precise with this, and it seems to specifically be chinese-sourced silverwares that are affected by it. These could be sold at many different places; Amazon, Temu, AliExpress, Bol, eBay, you name it. Just saying 'Chinese'(-made) seemed to be the most straightforward way to communicate it, as much as I understand not everyone will know what to look for.

    @anthropy@mastodon.derg.nz It is very likely that almost all non-contaminated silver jewelry is also made in China, so it's just not a distinguishing factor. A more useful recommendation here would be to be cautious of strangely cheap 'silver' jewelry.
