@anthropy@mastodon.derg.nz It is very likely that almost all non-contaminated silver jewelry is also made in China, so it's just not a distinguishing factor.
A more useful recommendation here would be to be cautious of strangely cheap 'silver' jewelry.

@joepie91@fedi.slightly.tech I adjusted the post slightly, I do think both 'cheap' and 'chinese' are vague in a sense though (Sterling silver is not that expensive either), but the awareness is important either way.
