After a tense battle, the army is defeated. The news guy tells us that the giant locusts have reached the Chicago south side and also no one should panic, so naturally we get a panicked evacuation scene. Some locusts are chasing people and eating them. We get a scene of locusts crawling on a building and another one where a girl in a towel is doing her hair and then is accosted by a locust.

The bug scientist tells us that the bugs slow down when it is cold. This seems to make their plan to attack chicago a bad one, but I guess it's summer now so they won't all freeze to death. The lead general plans to evacuate Chicago and then nuke it. The reporter suggests driving the locusts into Lake Michigan, and that gives the bug scientist an idea to attract the locusts to the lake with a fake locust mating call. #monsterdon #BeginningOfTheEnd #GrasshoppersVsPostcards
