The plant scientists have got their plants to grow bigger by using radiation that triggers the photosynthesis. This sounds wrong to me, but I do not own a labcoat.
Also you cannot eat the giant plants yet, the plant scientists are still working on that.

The army finally lets the reporter take pictures of the town so we see piles of rubble everywhere. While driving back the reporter tells the army captain about all the war reporting she did and how tired she is of seeing ruins and the horrors of war. He follows up on her maudlin reflections by asking her out to a bar, but she changes the subject. #monsterdon #BeginningOfTheEnd #GrasshoppersVsPostcards
