Oh we get a retro police reporting center in this #monsterdon. In Wolfen we saw the 1980s police fusion center, in the Godzilla movies we see the anti-kaiju meeting rooms, in this movie we get a guy talking to a bunch of speakers, very retro.

The situation must have escalated off screen because we saw a cop screaming into his car phone "OMG the whole town has been destroyed!" and in the next scene the army is setting up a road block and a Pretty 50s Girl (TM) is driving up to it. We learn she is a reporter and, like the audience, wants to see whatever is going on in this movie but the army corporal running the roadblock won't let her through. She drives away and sneaks in. #monsterdon #BeginningOfTheEnd #GrasshoppersVsPostcards
