Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that the European Commission is just targeting American tech companies in the same childish and petty way Trump targets anyone or anything. Isn’t it long overdue that these companies actually *pay* for something, instead of just getting away with anything and using people and resources to just get rich at everyone else’s expense?
If it were for me, they should pay even more. These fines are breadcrumbs for them.

@morrick@appdot.net There should be a good enough reason and large + good enough impact. So far we got annoying cookie bars, less info from Google Maps for stuff we search for, trouble with access to AI on iOS and Android, and trouble with interoperability between Apple devices. I don’t mind Apple doing well with Apple devices. I don’t mind Google putting their results higher. I would be happy with opting out from the European Commission bullshit.
