The workaround is that in the worldview of oppressors vs oppressed, it's crucial to deny any agency of the oppressed. If someone is defined as oppressed, anything they do will be explained away a result of the oppression. They will just automatically claim that they only kill gay people because oppression. It's the basic thought-stopping cliche.

@rcz@101010.pl That’s what I’m talking about. Two sides of conflict can be wrong and commit war crimes at the same time. This is not an XOR situation. I have no idea why some morons from the political science community force the view that it has to be always a strictly binary situation.
