I've been catching up with tech folx I've been disconnected from since the great Twitter exodus, and the one thing I keep hearing is grief. Real grief. The kind that comes from having sacrificed so much to build something you believed in, only to watch it become the very thing you feared.
They believed the promises.
Creativity.
Innovation.
Inclusion.

They saw it in movies, read it in books, and decided to help build it into reality. And what they built became a vehicle for chaos and harm on a global scale. That is not a small thing to sit with. What I tell them all is this: yes, this shit is hard AND we are not at the end of the story. But…
