... a pharmacy 250m away (also main room), a bicycle repair man 200m away (garage + old stuff int their backyard), a lotto place + conv store 180m away (main room), a butcher and at least a couple of greengrocers not exactly sure where, a cobbler 250m, there used to be a supermarket but it closed (the owners opened the bakery, but not in the same place), a tyre shop 300m, and I can't remember were or how many, but surely people that mended clothes.

My block, Falkner 800-900, had 3 cars; the 4th was wen we bought the second one. Everyone just walked, used the bus and some rode bikes. https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=18/-31.366131/-64.185728 (Nothing I mention is mapped because I haven't lived there for 25y). Yes, going to a bigger supermarket was cheaper, but not sure if the expense of the car really gave us a plus. When we wanted to buy something not available locally, we could take the car downtown and park far from the core and walk 350m. https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/-31.413817/-64.186614 3/
