People really cannot understand that "every hobby space operates like an extension of the workplace" is a massive problem for hobbyist software. The number one tread we see from LLM users is a conflation of something you do for your own passions and something you are doing for employment or enterprise (current or hypthetical). We actively shape the culture of the concatenative programming discord away from it. If there is some practice you don't want to do, then don't. If you have a project that isn't fun anymore, then stop. It's clear that profession practices have not made being a programmer better nor has it lead to a culture that produces better software.

    @andnull@social.nouveau.community Yup. I have a minor personal project in mind, and there's no way I'm taking a "professional" approach to it. I'm going to hack that puppy together like the good lord intended and it'll work just fine, thank you.
