marvelling at the misdirection going on here right now. the number of people saying that the fire is out of control because there aren't enough canadairs* is astonishing. yes, there aren't enough canadairs, but france shouldn't need so many! fires shouldn't be like this. and they're impossible to control because of climate change. because of heat, drought, monoculture plantation pine, poor land management, etc. but somehow, the whole conversation has been shifted away from "why is this happening" to "why don't we have enough resources to fight it", and that's very, very dangerous imo. and almost certainly very intentional. *big water-carrying fire-fighting aircraft
